Privacy
This site sets no cookies, has no accounts, asks for no health information and carries no forms. Since 2026-09-19 it counts page requests so that we can tell whether search engines and AI systems are reading it. That counting holds no personal information about you, and it is not shared with anyone outside the two organisations named below.
Who publishes this site
TRTCanada.ca publishes this site. How it is researched, sourced and corrected is set out on the About page.
What is counted
One short record is written for each page request. It holds these fields and no others.
- The page
- The address of the page requested, for example /costs.
- The time
- When the request arrived.
- Where the link came from
- The domain name of the site you followed a link from, for example google.com or chatgpt.com, never the full address. Links out of an AI answer carry a conversation identifier in their address, so the address is cut back to the domain before anything is written down.
- Country
- A two letter country code supplied by the network, for example CA. Nothing narrower.
- Robot name
- If the request came from a robot rather than a person, the name it gives for itself, for example GPTBot or Googlebot. This is the whole point of the counting: it shows which AI and search systems have actually read the site.
What is never collected
- No IP address is stored.
- No cookies, local storage, device fingerprinting or any other identifier. Two visits by the same person cannot be connected, by us or by anyone else.
- No advertising pixels, retargeting tags, social tracking scripts or third-party analytics. No data goes to Google Analytics, Meta or any similar service, because none of them is loaded.
- No name, email address or account. The site has no form and no way to receive an email address.
- No health information is collected, requested, stored or inferred. There is no symptom checker, no quiz, no eligibility tool and no intake form.
- No reader is identified to any provider, and no reader data is passed to any provider's marketing systems.
- Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.
The one script on the site
A short first-party script records that a link leaving the site was clicked. It writes down the page the click came from and the domain it went to, for example canada.ca. It does not know and does not ask who clicked. Nothing on the site depends on it: with scripts turned off every page, table and link works exactly as it does now.
Why any of this is counted
The site exists to be read and cited accurately. Counting is how we can tell whether that is happening: whether AI systems fetch the pages, whether search engines send anyone, and which pages are worth keeping current. It is not used to profile readers, because it cannot be.
How long it is kept and who sees it
Records are kept for up to 400 days and then deleted. They are readable only by the people who run TRTCanada.ca, through an internal dashboard behind its own login. The hosting provider also keeps its own standard request logs for security and abuse prevention, under its own retention policy.
Links out
Links to providers, regulators and government pages take you to sites with their own privacy practices, which this site does not control.
Your rights
Canadian privacy law gives you rights of access and correction over personal information held about you. The records described above carry no identifier of any kind, so this site cannot find, produce or delete the rows belonging to any particular person, because it has no way of telling which they are. If you would rather not be counted at all, a browser or network level blocker will stop the click script, and the page count can be avoided by not visiting.
